Ivelee Patrick Flowers learned classical piano but soon showed interest in jazz music, more specifically in Fats Waller's stride piano style.
He never missed an opportunity to listen to his idol, and he quickly built a strong piano technique and a reputation of fine stride pianists.
After Fats Waller's death, he carried on the leading of his orchestra under the name of "Pat Flowers & His Rhythm" perpetuating his music and exuberant style.
