Cecil Gant
1913 - 1951
Originaire du Tennessee il fait ses début à Nashville comme musicien de blues puis rejoint l'armée en 1944. Son premier enregistrment "I Wonder" connait un vif succès, comme nombre de ses ballades enregistrées par la suite. Pourtant, Cecil Gant signera un grand nombre de blues rapides et de boogie woogie, ce qui lui vaudra le surnom de "Grand-Père du Rock"
